_________________________________________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the USB5000 ScreenKey Developer Kit v0.8 _________________________________________________________________________________________________ The USB5000 Dev Kit is a toolkit targetted to embedded systems developers for demonstrating how to interface and drive RGB and LC Series ScreenKeys. The supplied source code demonstrates how to prepare and issue instructions to a ScreenKey, how to create and display graphic images, how to manage text display with different font sizes, and other features of ScreenKeys. The USB5000 Dev Kit is programmable via USB and the different tools required to compile source code and reprogram the USB5000 are included on the CD. Datasheets for ScreenKeys latest full-color TFT-based ScreenKeys are also included. \USB DFU Driver\ The driver files required to program the USB5000 via USB \Atmel Programmer\ The Atmel USB programmer for the AT89C5131 MCU (used on the USB5000) \ScreenKey USB Programmer\ ScreenKey specific command-line programmer (requires Atmel FLIP installation first) \SDCC\ Installation file for the latest SDCC compiler \USB5000 Source\ The latest source files used to produce the scrolling demo pre-programmed into the USB5000 _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Getting Started Please follow the steps below to get started: 1. Connect USB5000 via USB to PC holding PROG button 2. Direct OS to driver files on CD in "\USB DFU Driver" folder 3. Check device installed correctly via "Device Manager" - see USB5000 Dev Kit Users Guide 4. Install Atmel FLIP Programmer (either download latest or install from CD) 5. Copy "ScreenKey USB Programmer" to local drive 6. Run "ScreenKey USB Programmer" to test ability to program USB5000 6. Install SDCC compiler (either from CD or download latest version) 7. Copy "USB5000 Source" to a local folder 8.
